I don't have them, but I would completely remove them if I were you.  1)choking hazard and 2) not sanitary.... All around just not good for a baby to be sucking on 🤦🏼‍♀️

Definitely should take them out before feeds.  Can cause several issues if left in.  I, however, am lazy and knew I wouldn't want to do that constantly so I just permanently took them out Two weeks ago.

You're supposed to take them out before feeding and then put them back in after.

I would just take them out. With an infant there going to want to eat more and it's ganna get annoying to have to keep taking them back out every time.
