why would anyone want stretch marks?

I know some will take this offensive but I am not the type of person to just agree with everyone else just so ppl can like me. And that's not to say I'm being mean either... it's called having an honest opinion and so annoying that ppl get so upset with having a difference of opinion. I have four children, #5 is on the way and I thank god I don't have stretch marks. I like my skin smooth, chocolatey and Mark free. It's not even just a stretch mark thing. I don't want any marks if I can prevent them or get rid of. It's said they are a badge of honor for pregnant women... bullshyt. My children are.. I don't need marks to show I'm a mother. Lol no way keep that.... I don't even like having a belly unless I'm with child. 🤷🏽‍♂️... I can't wait to breastfeed and get back into my workout regimen. #ugghhh

And please don't take this the wrong way because many women of different sizes are    Beautiful ... none of us are all meant to be and or look one way. I'm just speaking for women like myself and there are plenty that feel this way but keep quiet because they don't want to be attacked for giving their true opinion. What works for some may not work for others and that's perfectly fine.

People don't talk about stretch marks like that because they truely like them or want them! It's because they have them now and most people aren't blesssed enough to not get them. I'm literally pale ass white with bright purple stretch marks. I cried when they appeared but I got over it and love them. They won't go away so instead of pouting about it I'll just be proud I made a beautiful baby.

To be fair, I've never heard of anyone who actually wanted stretch marks. We all try our damnedest to prevent them, and so if/when they do happen, we cope by calling them things like "badges of honor" or "tiger stripes." And if you're like me, I tried to prevent them with everything in the books, but genetics weren't in my favor and I'm loaded with them now. Doesn't mean I'm happy about it....

I've not heard of anyone who wants stretch marks-although I'm sure there will be some. Personally I'm in the couldn't care less camp!  The only person who sees the part of my body likely to be affected is my husband, and I know he will adore me regardless. To me stretch marks are as inconsequential as getting a ladder in a pair of tights -will not affect my life at all!

I didn't want stretch marks, but I got them. I don't like when women refer to them as "tiger stripes" lol I'm not a tiger. I got them from carrying my daughter so I call them my "mommy marks." I think most women hype them up like they're a trophy of motherhood to cope with having them. Obviously your children are the prize but it's just to let the women who weren't as blessed as you to feel good about them

I have a cute little set of stretch marks right below my belly button and I absolutely love them. I'm a young mother with an older man and a step son who I would have been 16 and my partner 24 if I gave birth to him myself so obviously everyone sees us and knows I'm not his mother. But my daughter and future baby are mine and I hate being looked at as some new model replacement 😔 that's not the only reason I love them but wearing crop tops or bikini tops outdoors definitely makes me feel more confident with my family

Same. I started getting them on my boob, which I didn't think was a big deal. Now 32w and getting them on my hips 😤😥 trying to keep my skin moisturized and stretchy. I barely have my shirt off anymore in front of SO cuz it makes me so uncomfortable

I'm doing everything in my power to avoid stretch marks. So far, none at 34 weeks. I'll try not to be bummed out if I end up getting them, but I know I'll be much happier if I don't 🤞🏻
