hives! late period

I am taking Benadryl and prednisone for hives,I'm nursing but not nearly as much as before as my daughter is almost 1. I've had a regular period since 5months pp. my period this month is 4 days late and still no sign. I took a test a few days ago and got a very faint line that disappeared (and I didn't leave it flat long enough I don't think) . I assume it's late due to the hives and changes in nursing but I can't help but wonder! My husband doesn't want to test again, he just wants to wait.
