How long do you wait to tell your parents and siblings?

I know you're supposed to wait to make announcements til you're past the 10 week mark, but I feel like once I finally get my bfp I won't be able to wait that long to tell at least my parents and sisters the good news. I want to make them gifts to tell them, but what if I make a big deal and I lose the baby? Should I wait to be sure to get past the danger zone or can I share the news right away?

We never wait. We tell family right away then put it on social media. I just got a bfp on Friday and I'm 5+1 today. My hubby told his family on Friday and I'm going to visit my family next week and will tell them when I see them. 
We had 2 full term pregnancies then a loss in April at almost 13 weeks. And as much as it sucks to tell people about a loss, it's nice to have support from family and friends.

I heard one piece of advice on how to decide that is if you would want their support going through a loss you can tell them as early as you want. So I think your family would definitely fall into that category just be sure to let them know that you aren't ready to share your news with the world.

My boyfriend and I want to wait after my first trimester to tell our families and friends because some of his good friends told everyone they knew, they even found out the gender of the baby and they ended up loosing it and he doesn't want the same thing to happen with us.
