negative pregnancy test

Hey everyone! I have a hue question for the moms in this community. I'm 3 days late for my period and I took a test yesterday about mid noon and it came back negative. My period isn't normally late like this and my boyfriend and I have been having unprotected sex since we moved in together. I'm wondering if I should give it a couple more days or if I should take another test at a different time during the day? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
