7months old swimming class

We went to our first swimming class and this class is for infants between 6 &18months old. And my son was the youngest. Is it too early to bring him to the swimming class ? And where the class is 10min away from my house. Should I just shower him at home ? How do you guys prepare before you go to swimming class ?
