After having it for six years, I've learned to accept it, but can never get used to it. I'll also say that after all these years, it's still slightly annoying to practically watch any movie, and there is always some herpes joke, or when I'm out with a group of people someone brings up an insulting herpes comment.

People should think twice about things they want to say, you may not know it, but it could be very hurtful to someone that may just have what you make fun of.

I've gotten used to fake laughing when there is a joke or some mean comment about it.... but deep down it does suck. It's just another reminder that if people knew, I'd be looked at differently... while they say they accept me, they probably think I'm disgusting deep down.

Just think before you say something.
