How do you apply for cash aid? I'm 37 weeks pregnant and not working. My husband is the only who is working. I'm in California btw..

Go to your local Job& Family Service office to apply. Or most states have an application online. If you are married and living under the same house you may not qualify since he is still working and you still have some sort of income. But you can check. And the other person is correct. When you get assistance they will make you get a support order unless you add your spouse to your case. In that case he would need to be present to apply w/ you.

Go to your nearest county building . Once the baby is born in order to still receive cash aid  he would have to be on child's support
