Life is Strange

Has anyone played Life is Strange? I might be thinking too much into it but my boyfriend and I are going through a lot and he's been playing this game everyday but will not let me see it. I've seen trailers for the game. So I know what it is but I've never played it. Is there something he doesn't want me to know? Please no judgement.. I just want to know why it's such a secret.
