Need advice/opinions

A very close friend of my husbands lost her 23 month old little boy last week. It's been very tragic for our little community and really hard for my husband who lost a baby boy in a previous relationship. The funeral is Friday and I really want to go to be there for my husband and the boys mom but I feel really guilty taking my 8 month old son. I feel like it would be hard for her to see him. What should I do? Would you go and take baby or not go at all. Babysitter is not an option we have no family or anyone to watch him.
