When do drs start checking for dilation

This is baby #3 and it's been 6 years since I had a baby and I was curious when the doctor starts checking for dilation? Also when u start going every 2 weeks to the dr? Im 28 weeks 3 days tomarrow im still a ways off before my due date just was curious to when I  have to look foward to.

My doctor said she'll start seeing me every 2 weeks after 28 weeks and every week starting week 37 and that's when she'll check for dilation.

My doc starts having me come in every 2 weeks after my 28 week check up. I'm not sure about the dilation though. FTM

Welp had my drs appointment im still 4 weeks july 13 is my next ill be 32 weeks then I wonder if then ill be every 2 weeks I forgot to ask...

When I was pregnant with my oldest 2 they checked after 35 weeks. With my 8 month old the doctor said hed only check me if I wanted him to after 37 weeks. Same with this pregnancy, Im 28 weeks and I have to go to my monthly appointment on the 30th and then they'll start every 2 weeks until Im 36 weeks. Then every week.

Most won't check until after 36 weeks. It doesn't really indicate when you will go into labor so you can decline. I was only checked once prior to going into labor with my first. My OB did a sweep at that time as well.

I see my midwife every two weeks after 30 weeks. And she doesn't check me for dilation. She didn't with my first. I went to 39 weeks with my son. Maybe if I was overdue she would have checked but up until that point she was hands off down there. Let nature do it's thing.

I will be 27 weeks tomorrow and my last appointment was on the June 8.  They started scheduling my every two weeks at that appointment.  So June 22 will be my first appointment being ever two weeks.
