horrible in laws anyone?!

My inlaws are are a pain in the ass they are so ungrateful we care for them financially and his dad physically as well and they still talk crap about us ugh how do you guys deal with them and with all the things the family talks .. I try to ignore it but it's so unfair to my hubby who works his ass off to give them everything

Your husband has to set boundaries. If you don't treat us with respect, we won't be doing anything for you anymore… If he's not willing to say that to them and actually follow through, then he's just going to get run all over and that's just the way it's going to be. So in other words, stand up for yourselves or get used to being treated like shit.

My in laws we're talking shit about us. So we tried to set boundaries by saying "if you have an issue with one of us, please come to us about it instead of everyone else but us." And their response was "no. We won't stop bc this what normal families do."  So we just cut them out of our lives

My FIL is horrible! Horrible! To everyone! My mother in law shifts (swiftly and unpredictability) from being nice and helpful to a screamy judgmental cow. My husband while sympathetic and, understanding and cooperative with any barriers I set, rarely does anything to rectify the situation. My FIL is careless with my children and cerybally abusive/emotionally manipulative to everyone (MIL, SIL, BIL, husband, eldest son (3) and, me). He is ok when he thinks that he's about to die/loose all contact but otherwise he is horrible. He is a bit bad towards me but knows that I will not take any sh*t from anyone so tones it down to being bossy to me, trying to make me look like the bad guy to my babies and, being horrible to the people that I love in front of me. With the others it's much worse because they put up with it (with the exception of my SIL who occasionally flips initiating a period of good behaviour). In order to deal with him we have in the past cut off ties for a few months if he's being particularly bad and banned him from our house. I also have an agreement in place with my husband that I am not obliged to see him without my husband present (but this isn't always workable).
