TMI: Stomach troubles during period?!

Question

I am having THE WORST TIME regarding bathroom issues during my period! (I.e. Having to "GO" like it's an emergency!)  I've read that it happens every month, due to the prostaglandins that make our cramps happen.

All I can say is - thank god today is my day off.  Every time I've tried to leave the house I have to run to the bathroom again!!  😩
I've spent all afternoon in there!

Please tell me I'm not alone?

Happens to me the only time of the month my IBS plays up is ovulation and period I hate it

Every. Freaking. Month. I'm sorry this is going on. I've struggled with this since I was about 19. It sucks. 🙄

I've been told it's the hormone that controls the "flush it all out" signal.... ??? All I know, there's not a darn thing glamorous about that time of the month! 😂

Happens ALL THE TIME!!!!!! I eventually went to the doctor and they gave BMW IBS meds that help! Now I only have to endure 30 to 40 minutes of it until the meds kick in lol
