what's worse? contractions or pushing?

I'm 6 months pregnant but I'm so nervous just by thinking about how painful labor would be. What's more painful? The contractions or pushing?

I thought I'd like pushing. I did not. It doesn't last as long as contractions, but you have contractions AND pushing at the same time.

Contractions, but I had an epidural for both so the pushing I didn't feel at all! Plus after I got the epidural the contractions were easy as well lol

Contractions. When it comes time to push you actually get some relief when pushing and the contractions (in my experiences) are not as close together so you may have a couple minutes in between them.

Pushing for me, but then I was on my back though.. I'm hoping being in a more upright position will help it not be as painful.

Only 36+6 with first born, but was told in childbirth class the pushing feels better than the contractions and when you get to that part you'll want to push. Been getting Braxton Hicks contractions when I lay on my right side and it feels like the worst period cramps I've ever had :( not looking forward to labor.
