Pregnancy with Irregular Period?

Question

My period is pretty irregular. I tend to have a period every other month. My husband and I are trying to get pregant. Is it possible to get pregnant on the month that I do not get a period? I know that I am not ovulating, so it would probably make it extremely unlikely, but is it still possible?

For example I got my last period May 1 and did not get one in June, but will most likely get one in July.

Any advise would be awesome! Thank you!

It's possible. I'm 6 weeks right now and my last menstrual was feb 25th. Don't feel discouraged.

I had irregular periods varying between 8-12 weeks. I would do ovulation tests from week 7 to try and catch ovulation. I have gotten pregnant 3 times like this. Although the most recent time (march 2017) I had a peak over 10 days but didn't ovulate so gave up and then 3-4 weeks later had a positive test I wasn't expecting. I would recommend clear blue digital they are expensive but worth it as they are so clear and easy to read. Good luck x

My wife was very irregular as well. Extremely irregular. My wife only bleed though for two days. So the moment she stopped bleeding and that's when we conceived. I would say do it right after your period. Took us a year and a half though but it did finally happen. Hope this helps.

My first boy was born in 2006, since then I have menstruated 16 times lol... so so bad. Fast forward to 2017 and we are 17w6 with baby 2. So I guess it can happen, but knowing when you ovulate yeah no clue!!

Possible, yes. But it's very hard to say with an irregular cycle. I highly recommend talking to your Ob or a fertility specialist about why your cycles are irregular. I had goofy cycles, and after a year of trying, I went to a doctor and he found I had elevated prolactin which causes delayed ovulation and anovulatory cycles. I was put on a medication to lower it, and my cycles were immediately 27-28 days long.

It could be a ton of other reasons why your cycles are that irregular, but it's worth a discussion with your doctor.
