My doctor told me to stop TTC πŸ˜žπŸ’”

KMS
I had a follow up with my doctor today about my B12 deficiency and he gave me some bad news.
He said my blood work came back and while my B12 levels are low, there are other indications that I might be presenting with early stages of MS (I'm 30 btw). He is now booking me in for an MRI and sending me to a neurologist to follow up. He strongly suggested stopping trying to conceive for the time being until we know more and after I get the MRI. I asked if this is a "stop" just for now or a forever thing. He said that we need to know what we are dealing with before he gives me the green light to start trying again. He said that could take up to a year or longer depending on how long it would take to stabilize me.
I'm heartbroken to say the least. Not only is our dream of a family at risk, but I could now be facing a lifetime of a debilitating disease. How am I supposed to deliver this message to my husband???
