Its day 4 and my milk still hasn't come in. I gave birth via emergency C-Section and our perfect baby boy was immediately rushed to the NICU for breathing support and monitoring and that's where he remains now. I've been hand expressing and
pumping like crazy along with trying to get him to latch when they let me hold him about twice a day, but I still only gets drops of colostrum. Its so frustrating. I've had nurses and a lactation consultant show me different techniques and tell me to just wait, it will come in. But when? I didn't have a vaginal birth to tell my body the baby is here and I can't be around my baby or try to nurse him except for a couple times a day. I'm so discouraged and tempted to throw the towel in on the whole idea of
breastfeeding... But I know how much my son and I would benefit from the experience. Any tips or stories or words of encouragement would be so appreciated right now!
