PLEASE help moms!!!

Jaxkie
Yesterday I went for my 20 wk scan (I'm only 19 wks at the moment though) & that's when they check everything about the baby, bones, fingers, spine, etc. But the dr told me instead of the plancenta being horizontally w/ the uterus it's curling up in the ends and said that could affect baby's growth. She said sometimes it fixes on its own but sometimes it doesn't. Has anyone else had this issue and what was the outcome of it or anything similar? PLEASE HELP. This is my third baby boy and never had this w/ the last two.
& sorry if it doesn't make sense i try to word it as best as I could. Thanks!!

Hey girl, I had the same thing with my first pregnancy! They called it circumvallate placenta. Don't google things because it's really not that serious. I was SO worried when they found out because it's quite rare, but apparently most of the time they don't even catch it during pregnancy and at birth they see the unique ring around the placenta...all that being said...every month I had a growth scan ultrasound and baby was actually growing faster than normal and around 36 weeks they said it was normal! What a relief! I'm 33 weeks pregnant with my second and don't have any placenta concerns this time around. And here's my beautiful, healthy, almost one year old 😊

Omg thank you so much girl!!! I know it's not the same w/ everybody but it gives me hope that everything will be okay. This is the third and last for us and to not have anything like this happen w/ the first two was a bit scary to hear yesterday. Thanks again! :) ADORABLE baby, & congrats again :)

Your placenta isn't implanted properly. They'll need to check you frequently to make sure baby is getting the nutrients he needs.

Actually, Cathy, it's not hat it's not implanted correctly but that the baby's side of the placenta is growing slower than the side attached to the uterus, causing it to curl up like that. :)
