Not necessarily. My tests were that dark and I was only 3w5d.

Mine were super dark like that at 4 weeks when I found out, currently 9 weeks

Mine went from very faint to very dark in an 8 hour period.... I literally took one before bed and it was hard to tell and took one when I woke up (same brand) and it was so clear and dark... obviously my pregnancy didn't progress a ton in 8 hours
