Am I being too sensitive?

People from my hometown are posting things on Facebook about how they don't want to come back from college because it seems like everyone is pregnant. Or saying that being pregnant must be the 'cool' thing because everyone is doing it. I think it's a bit disrespectful for those of us that are pregnant. Being pregnant isn't something that people should be ashamed of or feel like they can't tell people because 5 mins later there will be a post about it. Rant over lol

Not sure how old you are but I noticed that in my early 20's my friends who left town to go to school said things like "I don't want to end up living in sd barefoot and pregnant." Then when we were out of college those same people had gripes about other people getting married. Now it seems the late 20's early 30's crowd is all getting married and having kids so I rarely hear anything but excitement when people share wedding or pregnancy news. Regardless of age though there will always be that person or persons who think marriage and babies mean that you're boring or not living your life fully. I learned to get over it. I got married at 25 and everyone was aghast at how young I was but we were happy and 4 years later with baby #1 on the way still are. I think some people are insecure about settling down for their own reasons and bash other people to make themselves feel better. Don't let it get you down.

It's like that everywhere. I notice around wedding/ engagment season that the singles complain about it, and the same goes when a handful of people are pregnant. I agree it's annoying, the grass is always greener on the other side I guess.
