early disability leave?

Has anyone ever Gone on early disability leave? I've worked for my employer for 8 years. Last year I had a miscarriage and I'm pretty sure it was the stress and labor from my current job. They put me on a short leave bc I keep cramping and bleeding while at work. But when I'm resting or outside of work I don't. My manager doesn't let me go in extra breaks and purposely stresses me out to the point I have anxiety and cry at work. She tells me I need to move fast and shouldn't be going slow. I'm 11 weeks pregnant and don't want to lose this baby. She didn't even care that I miscarried last year. I don't want to quit my job but my family says I'm able to do short term disability for a bit.  Has anyone done this?

I've also had to leave work 2 because I was bleeding and my manager didn't care about me only the coverage at the job. I did cover everything but she just says that I need to be at work to run the business. I've never had issues with her before getting pregnant.
And I have Drs notes for when I've left also. I never call out of work.

Your doctor would need to verify that you're not able to work at all. Most Dr's are not willing to do that, they just give restrictions until the bleeding subsides. So you'd need to ask your dr if he/she would recommend you for disability. You likely won't get paid unless you have short term disability insurance.

You can use fmla, but.. it does count towards the 12 weeks in the year period. If you use too much of it then you wont have as much when the baby gets here and then your job can legally fire you if you missed more than 12 weeks

I went 2 weeks early but that was it. They did not pay me until i had the baby.

It sucks but thats how it works. And most employers dont have to pay you anything.
