Period late cause of stress?

I got in a car accident the day before I was supposed to start ovulating for this cycle and it brought quite a bit of stress for about a week. My period is now 9 days late and I'm wondering if the stress from the accident could have pushed back my period. Other than the accident, I don't think I've been too stressed - I was busy being in a wedding this past week, but that's the only other thing that has been somewhat stressful. I haven't skipped a month in years and I'm slightly concerned.
