period help

Ok ever since I started I've been super regular. I always start the same day or the day after. But for the past two months I've been getting my period every two weeks. Has this happened to anyone? Does it mean something. I know some people are gonna say go to the doctor but I'd like to know if anyone had experienced this and why before I go spend money I don't have. TIA
