How long do you think on average it would take to get over a 7 year relationship? People tell me to move on but I physically cannot. I think I would cry if I went on a date lol. We broke up in October but still talked so I would say more like April is when we really stopped communicating. Feeling hopeless

It took me over 6 months to even start moving on from a 8 month relationship. And now we're back together so who knows how long it would've taken me to actually move on. I can't imagine that happening after 7yrs. Take your time to move on. Everyone heals at their own pace. If you're not ready to let go and move on then that's ok! Take your time. If it's been a number of years then I'd be concerned, but a mater of months or even a couple years I totally understand. You can't rush the healing process.

My best friend was in a relationship for 7 years. I think what really helped her move on was keeping busy and finding a new love. She went to the gym, found a job, and dated a guy who treated her pretty well (way better than her ex at least)

Try to keep yourself busy and active. It'll take time but this will pass. I can only imagine how hard it is. But it will pass.

It honestly depends on the person. Sometimes it can take days, sometimes months, and even years. It really doesn't matter on how long the relationship is, but how strongly bonded you are with that person. It's rough, but keep your head up, hun.
