virgin coconut oil cause diarrhea?????

So my 3 month old has eczema so I started putting coconut oil on him and for the past two days he's had diarrhea? Coincidence or no? Ps he has no fever.

Everything you put on your skin can be absorbed into your body - it doesn't have to only be somewhere that he can put in his mouth. Even something applied to the soles of your feet gets absorbed.  Babies are very sensitive to this. It's completely possible that he's having a reaction to it similar to having ingested it. I would try to stop using it for a week and see if it stops.

Only if baby is consuming the oil somehow. Are you putting it on hands or arms where baby might be sucking the oil off?

It shouldn't. I put it on my son for months. But apply it at night. Do not put it if u go outside. Oil and sun...not a good combo 😊
