Which one?

Im looking into getting a double stroller for when my lo comes. Im due in january and my son will be 2.5 years old by then. Im debating whether to go w a side by side double or one w a front and rear seat. Any input?

Side by side doesn't fit everywhere.

I tried it out and tossed it 2 months later, they are bulky and difficult and it was so much easier just to teach my oldest to walk

Side by side if all your using it for is outdoor stuff, zoos, walks, parks etc. 
Tandem if you need it for stores and shopping or if you need one that can be easily used as a single or a double. 
I would recommend the Baby Jogger City Mini GT for a side by side or the City Select for a tandem.

I have a side by side but I just wanted it for exercise and outside walks and jogs so it's been awesome but there is no way you could bring it inside etc.

We have a BOB jogger and i love it. Never had issue getting it through door ways to my recollection and while it is big it fits in the trunk of my tiny Jetta with ability to fit other items.

Get a tandem with the option to work as a sit-and-stand. Your toddler may be more interested in using that feature and give you more useful time with the stroller.
