Help please!

11 DPO and I'm having light spotting . Looks brownish/dk red. I usually bleed heavy on my very first day with my period .so this isn't "normal " for me . We have been trying since my first miscarriage in January .(2 healthy children before this ) Anyone else experience this ? Should I take a hpt?
