nose piercing.

Anyways I got my nose pierced and I wear glasses. And it seems like every little thing gets stuck on my stud even the quips I clean it with because it's a diamond(not real) and my glasses also tug on it when they slide down my face or if I take them and am not paying attention. Would it be okay to change to a hoop? I know it'll take longer to heal but it's just taking longer now because of all the tugging and pulling every thing getting stuck to it. Also doesn't help my 2 and a half months old flails her hands and always hits it.
