If you've hired a housekeeper..

How often do they come to your house and what do they do? Did you do it privately or through a housekeeping company? We recently moved and this home is much bigger than our first and I'm not much of a cleaner. I was considering hiring a housekeeper hoping they could come once a week just to clean the basics like mopping the kitchen floors, vacuuming the carpet, dusting and stuff like that. Do you have to buy the supplies? Lol I'm new to this so just wondering about others experiences! Thanks.
