Inducing Labor

I'm scheduled to be induced next week (June 27th). I'll be 40 weeks on June 28th. Dr said I'm about 3 cm dilated, and my cervix is 50% softened, and he is in 'position'.

This is my 1st child, and I'm super nervous, and not gonna lie, I'm scared. My sister in law lost her baby at 36 weeks along (we were due 5 days apart), so I always have that at the back of my mind too. So I'm constantly worrying about mine.

Has anyone had their labor induced? Did it affect your ability to breastfeed? Any complications? How long did it take? Any advice? What can I do to prepare myself?
