conceive plus tube.. can I use a lube applicator?

I ordered the concieve plus tube but read afterwards that it's best to use the applicatiors aswell so it can actually be inserted into the vagina. I don't wanna really spend another £15 on the applicators so I was wondering if it would be fine to use a lube applicator? It's kind of like a syringe but especially for lube? Will this work just as good?The stuff in the tube is exactly the same as the stuff in the applicators right?
