I had my first ultrasound/doctor visit today. The technician said I was measuring 6 weeks 3 days instead of 8 weeks. The technician also showed me the heartbeat. When the midwife came in to talk to me she said I had a decision to make. She said the heartbeat wasn't very strong and that the baby wasn't going to make it. She proceeded to tell me that I could wait and let nature take its course or they could terminate it for me. This is my first pregnancy and I am having a difficult time wrapping my head around terminating something that has a heartbeat. Has anyone had a similar experience?
