So when i was growing up i got this cat when i was 14. She was 6 weeks old and my little baby. I ended up moving out of home 2 year ago when i met my partner and as we had kids and he was allergic to cats... i left my cat with my mother thinking she would be happier there and would have more attentiom etc. So anyway fast forward to just now and i found out my mom left my cat at the house and moved houses without rehoming her or telling me... until now. She had become homeless for 5 weeks and couldnt even take her to the pound or call me and tell me. Just left her there and moved 5 hours away.

I got in my car today and drove 5 hours north hoping to find my cat alive. She ran to me when she saw me .. still remembered me. She looks horrible. I have to take her to the vet as she has poop stuck to her fur to a point its pulling the skin all around her stomach and legs and she wont let me near it.

She is skinny eyes weeping fur matted looks like shit to be honest and i feel so bad for leaving her with mom to begin with.. didnt think she would do this.

Ive brought her home fed her the most expensive yummy cat biscuits and given her a warm bath. Ill be reporting my mom for animal neglect on monday. I cant believe this has happened. How can people be so cruel.
