1st birthday foods??

What is everyone doing for their lo's 1st party as far as food? We're having a pool party out back and I don't want to do burgers and dogs. It's the weekend after July 4th and I'm sure everyone will have just had that. Not a huge fan of having to grill all day on top of hosting close to 50 people 😬

homemade pizza and bread, a big bowl of salad, fresh fruit and different kinds of cheeses and cold cuts.

We we're gonna BBQ burgers, dogs, and chicken wings. I agree I also don't want my husband stuck at the BBQ for half the party so from experience w these parties, we now start cooking about 15-20 mins before the party starts, that way the food is just about when everyone arrives. He can finish up the BBQ and serve food right away. It also eliminates the need for a bunch of appetizers and I find that people like to eat right away. So that's our plan!

We're getting fried chicken from Stater Bros and buying salad, coleslaw and chips from Costco.  I'm making potato salad too. We're also having a pool party from 1 to 5 so hubby and I didn't want to be stuck at the grill the entire time.

We are doing BBQ chicken and then for sides, pasta and potato salad and Caesar salad. Easy and yummy 😋

I'm thinking of brisket (meat) and rice and beans ! .after that cake ad also we do in it at a park where there will be a Splash Pad for kids to play and get wet

Probably just having snacks, like chips, salsa, and guac.  And then cupcakes?

Had my uncle bbq never had to think about it....do you have a friend that like to bbq. ...also pulled pork is always a hit with my fam and friends

Were doing pulled chicken with sauces on the side with pasta and potato salad with cut up fruit and veggie cups. Then we're going to have cheese burger sliders and the lil' smokies.
