Why do people think....

...that if you're buying a pregnancy test you are hoping it's negative.

We have been TTC for about a year and a half. I always buy all my ovulation tests and pregnancy tests at Walgreens bc of their reward system. It's the best. Today at Walgreens I was buying pregnancy tests (🤞🏼🤞🏼) and the cashier was surprised but how many points I had on my account to redeem ($20 off!!) I told her last time I was in here buying ovulation tests and had a coupon that multiplies your points by 10 and that's how I got so many. And her response was "oh..so you're like actually hoping you're pregnant?" Like shocked that some one buying a test actually wants a baby lol I was like uhhhh yeah I really hope I am. That's the look and comment I usually get but It's just funny to see some people reactions when buying fertility stuff. I get responses from people asking how I like this brand all the way too I hope you're not pregnant! Lol the last one may be bc I wasn't wear my wedding ring that day after I left the gym. Anyone else have funny experiences?

Contact the manager at Walgreen's. The conversation was incredibly inappropriate.

The correct response would be something like, 'you're a savvy shopper, good luck!' Or, 'I hope you're blessed with the results you want' or, 'I hope you can apply those mad shopping skills to our baby aisle'.

I've had a cashier look at me and my s/o and give a dirty look I feel cause of our age me 21 so 25 cause s/o was asked to show ID when purchasing our pregnancy test and the cashier said weeellll good luck to you both with an eye roll  🤦🏼‍♀️ like please if you aren't going to be the one supporting someone else's baby then keep your eyes in your head .

Lol yes Im sure it was because of your ringless finger. Small minded people will always assume that child out of wedlock= unwanted child. (And that no ring means you're not married) A single friend of mine borrowed my wedding band recently to purchase a pregnancy test and avoid similar comments.

I'm pregnant now but my ring won't fit on my fat, swollen fingers. I catch people glancing at my bump and then my left hand all the time. Doesn't bother me either way but it's funny to me that that's where people's minds automatically go.
