any military wives out there that can give advice ???

So my husband and I have dated for 4 years prior to marriage and now almost a year married and he's going into basic training for the army in the first week of august .. I've never been longer than 2 weeks apart from him , and on top of that he leaves for ait training for 25 weeks .. I am emotionally wrecked but holding it together for him. Any advice for a being military wife and how to get through these long periods of time ?

stay busy! i get so emotional every time my husband leaves. Pray and Stay busy. I have to find stuff to do. we have to be strong! you can do it!

Yes, please stay busy. Go to free concerts by yourself. Go to breakfast with friends. Drive around and don't feel guilty when you waste a half tank of gas. Deep clean your whole house. Give your yard a little face lift. Go lay out and tan. Buy a coloring book and color! Find a dance class to take at the gym. Take a spin class. Go to a water park. Most places offer cheaper prices for military if you show your id. I'm 6 months away from my husband while he's on deployment and we've never lived together so I have NO idea what pain you are feeling but I do miss him!

Just stay busy! For me it's always the first week that drags on and the last month. The last month is definitely the hardest. Is moving to his AIT location an option? My husband is reclassifying and doing AIT all over again sometime in the next year and this time I plan on moving there with him. (Even though the army won't be paying for it)

Hi! Im a army wife and my husbands been in for 7 years and just reenlisted for another 4

I usually knit. Work, visit his family (I don't speak to mine) and just do a lot of things that make me happy (very hard to do when your other half is gone I know) but just take some time for yourself! Do girly things if your into it, get your nails done, have spa days, things like that (: maybe look into things your city has coming up? maybe like large flea markets, yard sales if your into that

My husband might be going overseas for 2 years in January depending on what they say we have to do  so these are a lot of the things I will be doing
