Too young?

Question

Does anyone else think that we are pushing people to be older and older befor having kids? I am 23, and people still tell me I'm so young and have so much time. That may be the case but your life doesn't completely end when you have children! I am a pediatric nurse and I love kids. It took me a couple years to build up a patience, but my gut feeling tells me I'd be ready. Yet, everyone else tries to say that I'm not.

If it's right, it's right! I had close friends tell me I was rushing it too! I'm 28 and my husband and I both have great jobs. I actually put off TTC 6 months because of all the negative vibes I was getting! But then one night me and my husband we're just like "why? We want to start our family, and are ready". So we started TTC again and just didn't tell anyone haha.

I personally don't think that is too young. You have a good job, a good partner (hopefully), and your heart tells you that you are ready. I think you are good to go. I wish you luck!!!!

I got married at 19, pregnant at 20, had my first kid at 21, about to be 23 and ttc baby #2. I don't go a day without someone telling me I look way too young to be living the life that I have. People are rude and inconsiderate of others lives. I couldn't be happier to be a wife and mom. 💕

As long as you can physically, mentally, and financially take care of a kid I don't see what your age matters. If you can take care of it then do what you want. It's not like the people who say oh you're still young are going to be supporting your baby. Plus you being 23 and young doesn't mean you'll conceive any faster as some women even though they are young struggle with infertility. We just live in a society that thinks when you are around 30 you will be ready, when I know plenty of 30 ur old who can't take care of their child(ren)

I'm 26 and people mention it to me occasionally. My friend is 31 and her mother told her to literally find a man, any man, and have a baby haha.

I think if you've got your own life in order than it shouldn't matter the age. A 17 year old can sometimes be more mature and ready than a 30 year old. Me and my husband have been married exactly a year. I'm 20 he's 23. We have tried for a baby since I was 19 (when we got married) had to be on fertility meds and now we are 18 weeks with a baby girl! My husband has a great job supporting us both so that I can concentrate on finsihing college (online) and we have our own place. It's 2 bedroom so our baby will have her own nursery and we have everything we could ever need and so will our baby. Because of this, our families are so excited that we're pregnant! My brother is 23 and still lives at home with my parents and they do not want him to have a baby simply because his life isn't on track. It just all depends on where you're at in life 💕
