Placenta encapsulation

Stepmom and first time giving birth mom here. Anyone else doing placenta encapsulation? My mom had ppd with both my brother and I and I wanted to make sure I had the option of trying this first in case I inherit the ppd from her. My hubby balked at the price (even though I got a discount bc my friend is a doula) but I just sent in my payment today. Feel relieved to have one more thing set for baby time.
