rock and a hard place

I do not want my newborn baby to be around my grandparents for various reasons, but they live with my parents and i know my mom will feel punished if i dont bring her over. My house is way out of the way for my parents with them working such long hours but i also need them to watch her a couple nights a week while im in school. What are some ways i could talk to my mom about this problem without hurting her feelings? This might be vague so if you need more info just ask
