so early - miscarriage concerns ?

Has anyone seen a doc at this point ? I went today and the doc said that I was so early on in the pregnancy that I was at a higher risk for miscarriage because I'm waiting on my period to be missed. Has anyone else had past experiences on this topic? Might be a dumb question but is there anything to minimize this risk ?

Ugh, this is such a hard topic. Rest, eat well, minimize stress. Unfortunately there's not much else you can do. I was diagnosed with recurrent miscarriage - I've had four miscarriages due to low progesterone. It's devastating. Try to put it out of your mind, I know that's tough...but chromosomal abnormalities are far more common than we know and your body often recognizes that and miscarries naturally. Hang in there. If you miscarry, there's lots of support. It's common (1 in 4 women will miscarry at least once), but MOST women go on to have healthy pregnancies! I hope this wasn't too...honest. I am trying to be helpful and not scary. Maybe this is?! But you will likely be completely fine. Hang in there. The beginning is the hardest! (I test a lot...if the lines gets darker that's an excellent sign that your hcg levels are going up).
