Is it ok to talk to other guys

This is how it goes. We pretty much do everything a couple does, but in these few months, he never really addressed me as his "girlfriend". He says he very much cares about me and says he really likes me, but he hasn't said whether we are a couple or not. I feel like we are but he never said we were official. Sometimes he's lovey dovey but other times we're chill (like friends are). But if he hasn't said we are official, do I have the right to maybe talk to other guys and be open to going on other dates. Some of my friends says yes because he never said we were a couple. But deep down I would feel guilty.. I just don't know. What do you think
