Using HIV to cure cancer?

My dad and I were watching this documentary on this doctor who's been using HIV to cure cancer. He's manipulated it so it won't give you HIV.

It's only been tested for leukaemia, and they gave it to a dying little girl. She had a severe fever and was in a coma for 14 days. But 2 weeks she came out of it she was in remission. And has been since.

Well I would much rather risk contracting HIV than be dead. Definitely something that should be researched further.

Sounds like they have the HIV fragment attack the cancer cells. And HIV causes those cells to rupture thus curing the cancer. The only thing I can't understand is how they don't get HIV. I know they have found new types of white blood cells in women in Africa who naturally fight off HIV. So maybe they are using those types of white blood cells to keep the HIV in check.
