Should I give in?

Okay so in November of 2014 me and my boyfriend lost our virginities to each other at the age Of 16 . We continued to have protected sex for 3 months until January 20th because I was constantly having pregnancy scares. I told him I wanted to wait for a long time before we have sex again,  mainly because I promised to God I would hold off. I know he wants it so should I?  Or stay strong and stick it out?

Your body your choice. Do whatever you feel like and remember whatever you choose should make you happy, and make sure whatever you choose, you shouldn't feel guilty about it.

Stand strong, girl. Don't compromise. If he loves you he will wait with you, if he won't respect you and your body you're better off without him.

I know it can be hard to let go of the guy you had your first time with. But if it comes to that I encourage you to be confident in that decision. A relationship is built on love, respect, trust, and mutual understanding. When it comes to things like your beliefs, your promises, and your convictions then you need someone who is on the same page as you are. If they aren't it creates so much unnecessary difficulty.

God doesn't tell us to refrain from premarital sex because he's a buzz kill and just doesn't want us to have fun. He does so because he knows that saving that intimacy for marriage is the most fulfilling, healthy, and satisfying option longterm. He wants us to give that gift resting on the mutual promises of love and faithfulness that are the marriage covenant. Because when we do there is a peace and security and confidence that can't be matched.

I encourage you strongly to stand firm in this and continue working to understand God's heart when it comes to our sexuality. Sex is good and beautiful and amazing. But it's important to keep it in its right context, otherwise we lose so much of its greatness.
