About a year ago my husband and i got my son (4y/o at the time) a Samsung tablet. I have it on child mode of course so he has access to only several of apps.

Any ways my son was playing with his tablet today and the game froze..my son started smacking the tablet pretty hard and my husband heard..my husband got up and started getting after him..he asked my son "why are you hitting the tablet?! This thing was expensive!" my son complained about the game and well my husband said "well why don't you come to me or your mom so we can figure it out!!!" i didn't see anything wrong with my husband arguing with my son..we NEVER spanked our son or grabbed him with force at all..when he's in trouble we ground him..no access to anything but air lmao. (its a joke) my mother in law literally yelled at my husband for it. She flipped her shit saying "its HIS tablet anyways" "he can do whatever he wants to it" i swear my mind FRIED she had recently gotten after my husbands nephew (8y/o) because the kid tripped over his tablet and cracked it
