About to get a Paraguard

I am getting mine in anticipation of my boyfriend and my first time (if we can hold out til then lol). We've already talked and are both excited, but I was wondering, is there a wait period? Like should I tell him that I'll need a few days or a week? I just don't want anything to go wrong
