Unexplained infertility and polyp

My doctor has no idea if the polyp was the issue😢 but all the testing for everything else is normal so there is no reason we shouldn't be getting pregnant. I'm waiting for my period but I just have a feeling I'm not pregnant. Do you think it could take a few months even if the polyp was the issue? Basically I'm asking yes it might take a few months. Or no, it should happen fast if the polyp was the issue or something else is wrong
