Infected tooth!! Helllppppp!!

I'm almost 29 weeks pregnant, and for the past two weeks, the gum around one of my back teeth has been so swollen & painful. I finally got in to see my dentist, who did an xray (double shielded), and said that my tooth is abscessed. My OB gave the okay for treatment, and my dentist said that doing a root canal on that tooth (for the second time..first time was 6 years ago) wouldn't help me. It's so infected that he's worried about it getting to my baby. He said the tooth needs to be taken out ASAP. I have an appointment tomorrow with an oral surgeon for a consultation.

Has anyone had an extraction this late in pregnancy? I'm not a fan of dental work anyway, but now I'm really freaking out. 😭 please tell me your experiences..
