I understand your post completely.. but I also agree if he's single then he can do whatever he wants.. 
However, if a man really loves a woman his first instinct wouldn't be to find another woman.. There's some truth to every action.. I don't believe it's to just hurt you. I've been in that relationship.. it's sad that right after a breakup he can just move on it sounds like he checked out a long time ago. I am sorry you have to go through that it hurts deeply.
