Acrylic Nails & Newborns

Any mommies have acrylics ? Any moms have acrylics while having a baby ?

My mom told me to not get my nails done anymore and I told her they won't hurt the baby. Mine are long but theyre not sharp . She said " it's not that it's just that they will get in the way " i agree to a certain point but for the most part i'm used to having them and doing stuff with them that I don't really find there to be a problem.

I'd like to hear any of you mommies experiences or thoughts on this
