Spotting??

Question

Is there any reason why I would be spotting a week before my period? I just peed and when I wiped there was a little bit of pinkish blood, not too much though. Is it the pill ineffective now?

This happened to me to...  if I wasn't on the pill this would be my regular period week and it's also my last week of the regular pills

Spotting is very common especially when first starting BC it's nothing to worry about. Try to up your liquid intake and take the pill at the same time every day. Spotting won't change the effectiveness of the pill. If it continues past your next period you should talk to your doctor
